Celebrate National Heart Month by Joining CCF's 50-State Awareness Challenge

This National Heart Month, you can help raise awareness of pediatric cardiomyopathy, a chronic and potentially life-threatening heart disease. Join in the activities taking place across the U.S. and make sure your state is represented in CCF's 50-State Awareness Challenge.

During the month of February, earn a heart for your state for every awareness activity that you initiate or participate in that is focused on pediatric cardiomyopathy. Share facts on social media, host a Bake for a Cure sale or Facebook fundraiser, speak to local community groups, or organize a school presentation. There are so many activities to engage in!

Together, we can unite hearts across America
and bring much needed attention to pediatric cardiomyopathy.

Organize A Bake for a Cure Sale

Gather friends and family to organize a bake sale in your community. It is an opportunity to get creative and involve the community in raising awareness and research funds for pediatric cardiomyopathy. To start planning, visit our Bake for a Cure page, and register your event. CCF is available to assist with ideas and fundraising materials.

Host a Facebook Fundraiser

Let your Facebook friends know that cardiomyopathy is a cause you care about. Set up is as easy as clicking "Fundraisers" on the left of your News Feed page and then selecting the Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation. Click here for details.

Send a Valentine

Spread awareness of cardiomyopathy by sending CCF valentines to friends, colleagues, and your child's teachers and classmates. Attach CCF's valentine cards to the treats you hand out at school or work.

Share the Facts

Spread the word about Heart Month on social media and educate others about pediatric cardiomyopathy. Download CCF's fact sheet and check Facebook for information to share. Be sure to use the hashtag #CCFHeartsAcrossAmerica when posting.

Make a Presentation

Share your knowledge of pediatric cardiomyopathy with others by speaking to classmates, scouting organizations, community groups (Lions or Kiwanis Clubs), local pediatricians, or at your local public library and Toastmasters meeting. Click here for guidelines.

To notify CCF of your awareness activity, please email Patty Macias to add a heart to your state on CCF's Heart Challenge Map. Please also share your awareness month photos on Facebook with the hashtag #CCFHeartsAcrossAmerica.
