North Star Charitable Golf Tournament

Wes and North Star Resource Group support CCF through the annual North Star Charitable Golf Tournament. The event has been held in honor of his two boys, Bennett and Mason, both who have a genetic mutation that causes noncompaction cardiomyopathy (NCCM), a poorly understood heart disease.

Casen’s Crew Golf Event

Casey and Heather held their 16th Annual Casen’s Crew Golf Event in honor of their son, Casen, who died from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) at just six months old. Held in Abilene, Texas, the event brought together friends, family, volunteers and more than 15 sponsors, including presenting sponsor Barr Roofing.

Noah’s Walk for a Cure

Julie and Eric host an annual Walk for a Cure in memory of their son, Noah, who was diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) as an infant. Since 2015, they have transformed grief into action, by putting their best foot forward during their annual walk event.

Henry’s Walk for a Cure

Henry was diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) at age eight after a heart murmur led to further testing. Facing his journey with courage, Henry and his family organized a Henry’s Walk for a Cure to honor children living with cardiomyopathy, rally their community, and raise funds and awareness for CCF.

Ultra Marathon Runner

Peter selected CCF as the beneficiary of his 100-mile ultramarathon at 10,000 feet elevation in honor of his son, Everett. Born with multiple congenital heart defects and later diagnosed with noncompaction cardiomyopathy (NCCM), Everett inspired Peter’s effort, including more ultrarunning challenges.

Annual Butterfly Bee Baking Competition

As a part of February American Heart Month and CCF’s Bake for a Cure, Mariclare hosted her Annual Butterfly Bee Baking Competition in honor of her daughter Saoirse, who was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and received a heart transplant in 2025. The event raised funds and awareness for pediatric cardiomyopathy programs by bringing together community members and local leaders, including city council members, the mayor, and state officials, to support children and families affected by cardiomyopathy.

Fusing Fun Art

Artist Nikki supported CCF by hosting a fundraiser featuring her fused glass artwork in honor of her niece, Savannah. Diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM), Savannah received a heart transplant in 2021. Nikki’s artwork sale raised funds while sharing Savannah’s story and spread awareness of pediatric cardiomyopathy.
